Eye Pillow - Eucalyptus

Handmade in Melbourne, our beautiful eye pillows feature a removable cotton outer cover and an inner cotton flannel pillow.

The choice is yours; unscented or scented with lavender essential oils.  Alternatively place a few drops of your favourite essential oils on the inner flannel pillow.

Eye pillows provide natural pain relief from headache and sinus pain.  The weight on your eyes also aids to calm a busy mind.  In addition use it cold to soothe tired eyes.

HEATING:
Follow these instructions carefully; overheating or inappropriate use may result in injury or fire.

• Only use a turntable microwave to heat; ensure the microwave is clean and turntable rotates freely before heating. Do not heat on a stovetop, gas, or electric oven.
• Place heat pack as flat as possible in the centre of the microwave, with a small mug of water during heating to reduce the possibility of wheat drying out and burning.
• Rating 650-Watt microwave – heat in 30 second bursts for a maximum of 1 minute on high, rotating during heating.
• If the eye pillow smells or looks burnt, do not use and discard; allow it to cool down completely (on a non-combustible surface) before disposing.

COOLING

To use as a cold pack, place in a zip lock bag, or sealable container in the freezer for 30 – 60 minutes.

USES:

Placing a weighted pillow over the eyes can help to ease headache pain, and calm a busy mind.  It can even aid in falling asleep.

A cold eye pillow is great for soothing allergy irritation and puffy eyes.

Heated, it works wonders as a mini heat pack and can help ease the discomfort experienced by breast feeding mothers.

It is not a medical device and simply an aide to treat symptoms. Always consult a Doctor for pain.

CARE:

Avoid prolonged contact with skin and it is not recommended to use under bedding for risk of fire.

Use with caution particularly with the elderly and children; when used incorrectly, heated eye pillows can burn skin.

Always wait for a heated eye pillow to return to room temperature before reheating, and only put away to store when completely cold.
