Heat Pack Care + Use
Proper care and use of your beautiful heat pack will ensure you get maximum use out of it for it's life, so it is important to follow the heating instructions on your pack and to adhere to the following safety warning.
IMPORTANT - keep the instructions with your heat pack - READ before every use. NOT RECOMMENDED for people who may have reduced awareness of temperature or feeling in their skin, e.g. diabetics, people with nerve damage, or people with an impairment that prevents them recognising they may be burnt. It is important to carefully follow these instructions as overheating or inappropriate use may result in injury or fire. DO NOT HEAT IN A GAS OR ELECTRIC OVEN.
HEATING INSTRUCTIONS
- Remove the wheat heat bag from packaging.
- Place the heat pack as flat as possible in the centre of microwave turntable. Ensure microwave surface is clean and the wheat evenly distributed.
- Heat for the duration listed in the heating table – do not overheat.
- Remove carefully from microwave, do not pick up with bare hands, handle with care – pack may be extremely hot.
- Check the temperature is comfortable before use and avoid direct contact with skin.
- Allow the wheat heat bag to cool before reheating.
- Leave the wheat heat bag to cool on a non-combustible surface after use.
- Outer cover can be removed and washed. DO NOT WASH INNER PILLOW, SPOT CLEAN ONLY.
- Ensure the wheat bag is cold and moisture free before storing in a cool dry place.
- Keep away from small children, the filling if released may pose a risk of choking or inhalation.
- It is recommended to replace wheat bag every 2 years from first use.
- At the end of its life, or if signs of overuse occur (i.e. over-cooked or burning smell), place on a non-combustible surface, allow to cool down completely to prevent fire hazards, then dispose of in the general rubbish bin.

- DO NOT OVERHEAT – always follow heating instructions.
- DO NOT USE UNDER BEDDING – may catch fire.
- DO NOT USE IF SMELLS OR LOOKS BURNT – allow to cool first then throw away.
- DO NOT LEAVE PACK UNATTENED IN MICROWAVE – in case of fire.
- DO NOT USE DIRECTLY ON SKIN TO AVOID BURNS – use cover or towel between pack and skin.
- DO NOT USE STRAIGHT FROM MICROWAVE IF TOO HOT – allow to cool down first.
- DO NOT USE PACK ON BODY PART FOR MORE THAN 5 MINS – continuous heat may burn.
- USE WITH CAUTION - heat packs can burn skin when used incorrectly and particularly the more delicate skins of children or older people. SUPERVISE children at all times.
- MICROWAVE ONLY – do not use in gas or electric oven.
- It is NOT RECOMMENDED to add oils or fragrances to the pack – these may increase the risk of fire.

Place in a plastic bag, or container in the freezer.
